- Reviewing product drawings for meaningfulness, reasonable tolerances, and critical tolerance stacks
- Evaluating product designs before production release to reduce manufacturing, tooling, and gaging costs through proper specification of part tolerances
- Assisting in converting coordinate dimensions into geometric dimensions
- Reviewing measurement plans
